This system is designed to integrate with your snap twin coil 3 wire switch machines, most notably the
All machines Snap machines made prior to 1980.
It is available in 2 different scales, N and HO Scale and includes 3 Dwarf signals.
The Controller module can also be purchased individually. So for example, if you were wanting to use signals on a yard that had 6 turnouts on it, and for which you only see one end, you could buy 4 Turnout kits and 2 Controllers giving you 12 signals covering 6 Turnouts.
A unique feature designed into this system is that it remembers the direction of the turnout from the last time it was used, even when power has been interrupted.
Another unique feature is that it can be used with either AC or DC power, directly from the turnout power! You can also cascade each controller so that you only need to power one and all are powered. This has a unique advantage when using the product in a yard ladder. Only one power supply needs to be used as all the other controllers can get their power from that first one, thereby reducing complexity and most importantly costs.
Finally, if a combination of turnouts is used, such as in a ladder, and each does not need 3 dwarf signals attached, then
A mix of these products will provide a less expensive way to signal the ladder (see Scenarios note below), and
The spare fiber spaces on the Controller can be used to connect 2 fibers from the controller to a turnout display board.
The assembly couldn't be simpler (see Instructions below for more details):
Connect 3 wires from the 3 socket connector on the Dwarvin Snap Controller to the Snap machine switch control unit or to the Solenoid connections on the Turnout- no soldering needed.
Add power to the Dwarvin Snap controller either using a 9V supply (barrel connector) or directly from your AC or DC bus via the 2 socket connector on the right hand side of the unit.
Finally, insert the 3 Dwarf Signals into the layout where required and insert the fibers into the Snap Controller.

Each HO Dwarf signal is: 14.9mm tall (above the layout) and 6.7mm wide.
This is especially helpful for operating sessions where it is very useful to see which way the dispatcher has a switch set.
